Walls Close In: A Home Confinement Story
The boundaries of my home were always like a safe space. Now they press in, a constant symbol of my limited freedom. Days bleed together, marked only by the chime of the watch and the dull ache in my chest. Every sound from outside is a painful echo of the world beyond.

Living on Lockdown
Life as we experienced it has drastically altered. The world beyond our doors is a blur of its former glory. We are now stuck within the limits of our homes, forced to adapt to a new lifestyle. The days melt, marked by the rhythm of online meetings, binging media, and baking. We long for the simple pleasures that were once granted for granted: a hike in the park, a coffee with friends, or even just a chat without a screen amidst us.
This new situation has created challenges, but it has also exposed unexpected qualities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more understanding, more inventive, and more appreciative for the mundane things in life. As we navigate this uncharted territory, we must keep hopeful that home arrest brighter days are coming.
Six Feet From Freedom
Life behind bars is a brutal reality. Every day, you face restrictions that feel like an unbreakable barrier. The world outside seems so reachable, yet it's separated by just that symbolic distance of six feet.
Sometimes, the burden of those bars feels insurmountable. You desire freedom with every fiber of your being. Every sunrise serves as a stark reality that you're trapped.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a gleam of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be released. That day might seem uncertain, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Freedom's Imprisonment
The allure with freedom can be a powerful force. Yet, paradoxically, it can even lead to imprisonment. This happens when the very notion of freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a weapon for control and domination.
True freedom entails not only the absence with external constraints but also the nurturing of internal spirit. When this inner base is lacking, even within a society that values freedom, individuals can find themselves ensnared within the boundaries of their own minds.
Consequently, the true measure of freedom lies in our ability to liberate ourselves the barriers that impede our potential, both externally and internally.
